He defined the adjective "orthomolecular" as being "the right molecules in the right concentration for health". The body cannot produce silver any more than it can any other element on the periodic table. However, if you are wondering whether or not the human body has evolved to efficiently and effectively utilize silver as a part of the daily dietary intake, then the answer is yes. The presence of metalloproteins in the saliva, and the direct effect of isolated silver on the human metabolism and on human tissues, strongly suggests that extremely minute amounts of silver ( and other low-toxicity metals ) have been a beneficial part of the human paleo-diet. But again-- the consideration here is the right molecues and the right concentration for health. This is most certainly variable. The amount of silver needed by an extremely healthy individual for optimum health is likely extremely minute, while individuals with accute or even chronic infections may very well benefit from a higher concentration of oligodynamic silver use in the body. That debate is ongoing, and is best left to the discrimenating mind of each individual looking to maintain good health.
